Key Financial Inc. is nationally recognized for wisdom in wealth management. The following is a guest blog about the recent 'CEO for the Day' initative.

Recently, Key Financial Inc. hosted their first “CEO for the Day.” A 12 year old boy named Wyatt was given the opportunity to shadow President and CEO Patti Brennan. This idea was born from a belief that Patti has always held, both as a busy working mother of four and as a founder of a locally and nationally recognized wealth management firm: inspire and expose.  The mission behind CEO for the Day is to not only inspire children to believe they can do whatever they want, but to expose them to the joy that comes from doing what you really love doing—for a living!

Growing up in Radnor, Patti was one of seven children who all grew up to accomplish a multitude of successes that included winning Olympic medals to owning their own businesses. Under her parents’ guidance, her siblings were always encouraged to follow the dreams of what they loved to do most and aspire to be the best at whatever that was…no matter how impossible it seemed.

After decades of hard work in a field she has always loved, Patti attributes much of her success to a lucky choice she made one year at Georgetown University to take a Finance class. Just like this class, CEO for the Day gives children the opportunity to be exposed to what their future can hold, while also gaining a real hands on experience. Patti and the Key team hope to turn the experience into an annual event, and urge other CEOs of companies in our community to host their own CEO for the Day and inspire and expose another deserving child!

Take the challenge and inspire tomorrow's bright leaders.
